Lamia Assi (Arabic: لمياء عاصي) (born December 27, 1955) is the current Minister of Tourism of Syria, serving since 2011. She previously served as the Minister of Economy and Trade and as the Ambassador to Malaysia.

Assi was born on December 27, 1955. She earned a Bachelor degree in Commerce from the University of Damascus, and a Master of Business Administration from the Higher Institute of Business Administration in 2005.
She served as Assistant to the Minister of Finance for Technology from 2002-2004, and was the Ambassador to Malaysia in 2004-2010. In 2010 she was appointed the Minister of Economy and Trade, and in 2011 she was appointed Minister of Tourism.[1]
Assi is married and has three children.
